USHERS Our ushers play a vital role in welcoming people to our services and special occasions. In addition to handing out the service bulletins, the ushers offer a smile and warm welcome to members and visitors alike.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS People who assist the celebrant in the distribution of communion by administering the wine or the bread. This is a ministry licensed by the bishop. Those interested in serving as Eucharistic Ministers are invited to make their desire known to the rector who train them and apply for a license from the bishop.
ALTAR GUILD Members of the Altar Guild share the duties associated with caring for the linens, vestments, vessels and other “stuff” that are an integral part of our worship. From polishing silver and ironing altar-cloths, they enjoy a fellowship with other members who share a love for keeping God’s house in good order.
FLOWER GUILD Members assists in the worship of the parish by providing and preparing flowers or greens at the altar and occasionally in other places in and outside the church building for all Sunday services, Holy Days and other special occasions.
CHOIR The music of our Sunday liturgies is intended to invite us into God's presence and help us to achieve a moving and profound experience with God. Our choir is always looking for new voices, they currently practice briefly before our Sunday 10:00 a.m. service. Schedule may change as our snowbirds arrive back. Please contact Sherri Rampton, our Choir Director if you would like more information.
BELL CHOIR If you enjoy music but would prefer not to sing (or would enjoy something other than singing), this group is for you! It is surprisingly fun to ring handbells. The bell choir is always looking for new members. If you have some experience with reading music, the Choir director would love to hear from you. Contact Sherri Rampton. The group will rehearse approximately every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The primary goal of the group is to have fun ringing handbells together!
DAUGHTERS OF THE KING This is a national Episcopal organization for women of all ages and is a contemplative and service organization. The St.Mary's Chapter of the Daughters of the King meets monthly.Empowered by the Holy Spirit, our vision as Daughters of the King is to know Jesus Christ, to make Him known to others, and become reflections of God’s love throughout the world. The Order of the Daughters of the King (DOK) is organized as a religious order. Each Daughter takes a lifetime vow to live by the Rule of the Order. Our Rule of Life requires a spiritual discipline of daily prayer, service and evangelism. Because of our vow, we refer to ourselves as an order, not an organization. The Daughters also remember daily, by name, along with the clergy, those who are listed on the parish prayer list.
